My Journey
Hi, I’m Cambria, the founder of Canine POV! My journey began in 2018 when I adopted a rescue dog with significant behavior challenges. In order to help her, I earned my Advanced Canine Training Professional Certification (CACTP) and Canine Training and Behavior Specialist Certification (CCTBS) through the Animal Behavior Institute. As my dog's behavior and disposition improved, my passion for understanding the canine mind ignited. From the moment I met her in 2018 to her passing in 2024, and even in her absence, she has been my greatest teacher!
I now hold the CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed) designation through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). I continue to stay current with the latest research and am constantly expanding my education to better serve both dogs and their humans.
Before I started Canine POV, I worked as a trainer under a local dog daycare chain and have experience teaching group classes both at a daycare location and at the Atlanta Humane Society. My relative freshness to this industry provides a unique advantage to my clients! Many dog trainers are either in the process of unlearning the harmful training methods of the past or refuse to unlearn them at all. I can't wait to share what I've learned with you!

Behavior is complex and you need someone you can trust to help you respond constructively to your dog so they can respond constructively to you! My goal is to create a training experience where both human and canine voices are heard — and where every behavior challenge has a kind, thoughtful solution.
